Latest Update – April 21, 2026
The most critical update as of today
is that UPMSP has nearly completed all backend processes required to declare
the result. Answer sheet evaluation was wrapped up by April 4, 2026, and
schools were required to upload Class 12 internal assessment marks by March 25.
The only remaining step is the Topper Verification process, which is currently
underway. Based on past trends and the current pace of preparations, the result
is most likely to be announced between April 21 and April 25, 2026, between
12:00 PM and 2:00 PM.
In addition, UPMSP has issued an
official public advisory warning students and parents about cyber fraud.
Fraudsters have been reportedly contacting students via phone calls and
messages, claiming they can manipulate marks in exchange for money. The board
has made it categorically clear: UPMSP never contacts individual students
regarding their marks or results. Students must ignore any such suspicious
calls or messages and rely only on official channels.

Passing Marks & Grading Criteria
To pass the UP Board Class 10 or
Class 12 examination 2026, students must secure a minimum of 33% marks in each
subject individually — both in theory and practical components separately. The
overall aggregate must also meet this threshold. Students who fail in up to two
subjects will be eligible to appear in the Compartment Examination, which is
expected to be held in July 2026. Students failing in more than two subjects
will have to repeat the academic year.
The result will contain subject-wise
marks, total marks, grades, and the final qualifying status. Students are
advised to carefully verify all details on their marksheet after downloading.
Any discrepancy should be reported to the school or board authorities
immediately.
What to Do After the Result is Announced?
Once the result is out, students
should plan their next steps without delay. Here is what you need to keep in
mind:
•
Class 10 students: Choose your
stream — Science, Commerce, or Arts — for Class 11 admission
•
Class 12 students: Start applying
for higher education, entrance exams, or job opportunities
•
Toppers: Outstanding performers
will receive cash prizes and a laptop from the state government
•
Re-evaluation: If unsatisfied with
marks, apply for re-evaluation within the first week after results
•
Re-totalling: Students can also
request re-totalling or a photocopy of their answer sheet
•
Compartment Exam: Students failing
in up to two subjects can appear for the compartment exam in July 2026
Students are strongly advised to
download and save the provisional marksheet immediately after the result is
declared. Original marksheets will be distributed by schools after UPMSP
completes dispatch formalities.
